The
IAEA wants to ensure that the territory of Iran has no other nuclear
facilities, in addition to those that were already known
Inspectors
of the International Atomic Energy Agency for the second time visited
the Iranian uranium enrichment plant, which is located near the city of
Qom.
As
Reuters reports with reference to the diplomats, members of the
delegation wanted to make sure that the activities of the plant to be
commissioned in 2011, aimed solely at providing electricity to the
country, that is for peaceful purposes.
According
to the representative of Iran to the IAEA Ali Ashgar Soltani, now the
Agency inspectors will be able to make regular visits to the object. At
the same time, he rejected a proposal to give written assurances that
the territory of Iran has no nuclear facilities other than those which
are already known.
