main contenders for the post of first President of the European Union

71-year-old ex-president Vaira Vike-Freiberga, RIA Novosti reported,
citing a diplomatic source in Brussels.
According to him, support the candidacy of the Belgian, France and Germany, and Lett - United Kingdom and Sweden. "In any case, the first president of Europe will be representative of a small country", - assured the agency.
As we have previously Vaira Vike-Freiberga said in an interview with El Mundo, that is ready to work as president of the EU. She
